I work as a Clinical Psychologist (Psychologische Psychotherapeutin) in private practice. I offer my services to:

  • Adults with psychological and mental health concerns (e.g., difficulties with mood, anxiety, chronic stress, sleep problems, relationship and adjustment difficulties; difficulties adjusting to a life-threatening diagnosis in the family)

Typically, therapy takes place in a one-to-one setting on a weekly basis, with each session lasting 50 minutes. The initial meeting is a time when we can both decide if we feel it would be helpful to work together. All information disclosed by you is treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties without your permission. The only exception to this is the instance where there is an urgent concern for your or someone else’s immediate safety (in which case this would be discussed with you).

Regular Practice Days/Hours: Friday late morning and early afternoon (please inquire regarding current availability) with a 48-hour cancellation policy. Online sessions are also possible in some circumstances following an initial in-person consultation.

Fees and Insurance Coverage:

  • Private pay available.

  • If you are privately insured you may be in a position to seek reimbursement of fees paid. If you are internationally insured, providing you have the coverage within your benefits, international insurances are typically responsive to claims for I to provide services upon your request.

  • As I do not hold a Kassensitz I cannot bill public health insurance (e.g., TK, AOK) directly. Information regarding access to psychotherapy funded by public insurers is available at the Kassenärtzliche Vereinigung here. An up-to-date description of the process is available here in German, or here in English. Alternatively the German chamber for psychotherapists website is quite useful: https://www.wege-zur-psychotherapie.org. I personally am currently not offering services via the Kostenerstattungsverfahren.
